Your keiki's Foundation for early childhood education
VIA environmental literacy
The Keiki Mahi'ai Program is the first of its kind for keiki ages 1 - 6 years old.
As keiki campers step through the lessons of Keiki Mahi'ai they will become better equipped in knowing HOW to think about themselves and their surroundings, not WHAT to think.
In the true nature of Environmental Literacy expect your keiki to be hands on with these Keiki Mahi'ai lessons. Their very own inquisitive little souls will be guiding their very own intentions with mud, dirt, and outdoor materials in a safe and loving manner for the 'Āina and for others.
Camps are 3 months each and meet on Fridays from 9am - 12pm
There is a maximum of 10 keiki allowed per camp
Students are accepted throughout the year until all slots have been filled. There is waitlist priority.
tuition: $155 per month -> each camp = $465*
Each camp is different and carefully designed to hone in on age appropriate lessons for each of the following categories:

TEACHINGS DRAW FROM MONTESSORI, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, AND ZUMBINI BASED METHODS WHILE ALL CONCEPTS ARE CERTIFIED BY U.S. PLAY COALITION (CLEMSON UNIVERSITY), ThePROJECT LEARNING TREE (SUSTAINABLE FOREST PROJECT), CLI ENGAGE (UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS HEALTH) & ZUMBINI (ZUMBA).

Your keiki will be given the opportunity to prove to themselves and to the world their level of Environmental Literacy for various subjects covered throughout the Camps through a method rooted in Hawai'ian tradition called Hō'ike. Once your keiki has successfully shared his or her hō'ike they will receive a badge to proudly display on their sash.
Hō'ike is a literal performance or showing of knowledge or skill. Hō'ike serves many purposes including boosting self confidence, reinforcing lessons on a deep emotional level, and also sharing knowledge to those who may be unaware of certain messages.
'Ohanas will be given access to Keiki Mahi'ai's Google Classroom for more fun at home activities to share and practice lessons throughout the program. The goal of this type of interaction is not your standard "homework setting" rather, it is an opportunity to bond and become Environmentally Aware WITH your keiki. Additionally this type of interaction helps prepare your keiki for their hō'ike of choice.
